From May to October the afternoon sun makes bare concrete unusable exactly when you want to be outside. The J Hammer builds the decks, patios and covers that turn a yard into a true outdoor room — with the structure and shade that make it usable morning to midnight, year-round.

Custom, not kit
The details separate a custom cover from a hardware-store kit: real engineered footings instead of surface bolts, beams and posts scaled to the span so it reads as architecture, electrical run during construction for fans and dimmable lighting, and rooflines and paint matched to the house so it looks original. Attached covers and larger structures need permits in LA and most Valley cities — we handle the drawings and the process, which protects you at resale.
Built as one outdoor project
A cover over fresh pavers, with turf beyond, is the full backyard move — and we often build cover, patio and landscape together so levels, drainage and layout all agree.
