Pavers & Driveways
Interlocking paver driveways, walkways and patios — precision-set on a vehicle-rated, compacted base that keeps them flat and lets any repair stay invisible.
The biggest hardscape surface on your property, done right
A paver driveway is the surface guests literally arrive on, and it is one of the highest-impact upgrades a home can get. The J Hammer installs interlocking pavers the way they are meant to be installed — as an engineered system — so they flex instead of crack and any future repair disappears.
What we install
- Paver driveways — on a deep, vehicle-rated base with herringbone or interlock patterns that lock against wheel forces.
- Walkways and paths — front entries, side yards and garden paths.
- Paver patios — outdoor living floors framed with border courses.
- Pool decks — cooler underfoot and naturally slip-resistant.
The base is the product
A driveway carries cars, not people — so the excavation depth, compacted base rock, bedding sand and edge restraints do all the real work. We excavate to the right depth, compact base in lifts, screed a precise bedding layer, lock the perimeter with edge restraint, and finish with polymeric jointing sand and a final compaction pass. A beautiful field over a thin, poorly compacted base ruts and waves within a couple of years — which is exactly why our bids spell out the full section, inch by inch.
Why pavers beat a plain slab
Pavers flex with soil movement instead of cracking, and when a tree root heaves a section or a utility line needs trenching, we lift the affected pavers, fix the base and reset the same stones — no scar. Add the pattern, border and color options, and the biggest surface on your property becomes a design feature instead of gray concrete.
