Outdoor Lighting
Low-voltage path, accent and security lighting that makes the yard usable after dark and doubles the hours you actually spend outside — the highest-impact dollar in the whole project.
Twilight is when SoCal backyards live
All the paving, planting and building in a yard is invisible at 8pm without lighting — and lighting is the least expensive layer of the whole project. The J Hammer designs and installs low-voltage outdoor lighting that makes a yard safe, beautiful and usable long after sunset.
What we light
- Path and step lights — safe footing along walkways, stairs and grade changes.
- Accent and uplighting — grazing stone and stucco, uplighting trees and architecture.
- Patio-cover and structure lighting — downlights and dimmers from pergola and cover beams.
- Security lighting — brighter, motion-aware fixtures at entries and side yards.
Why low-voltage
Low-voltage systems are safe, energy-efficient, and flexible — fixtures can be added and adjusted as plantings grow. Run on a transformer and timer or smart control, they come on at dusk and set the whole yard glowing without a big power draw. LED fixtures last for years and sip electricity.
The highest-impact dollar
Lighting doubles the hours a yard is usable and makes every previous phase — the pavers, the turf, the cover — look better at night. It is also the most-clicked style of listing photo when you sell: the twilight shot. We plan it as a design layer, everything dimmable, so the yard has scenes instead of a single on-off flood.
