Siding
New siding and exterior cladding that upgrades weather protection and curb appeal at once — installed with a proper moisture barrier and clean trim detailing.
The skin of your house, done right
Siding is the first line of defense between weather and the structure of your home — and the first thing anyone sees from the curb. The J Hammer installs and replaces siding with the moisture barrier and flashing details that keep water out, in styles that lift the whole exterior.
What we install
- Fiber-cement siding — durable, fire-resistant and paint-friendly, a favorite for SoCal exteriors.
- Wood and engineered-wood siding — warm, classic looks with modern durability.
- Vinyl and composite — low-maintenance options that resist our sun and heat.
- Accent cladding — board-and-batten, shingle and stone-veneer accents that add character.
What is behind the siding matters most
New siding over a failed or missing moisture barrier just hides the next problem. We install a proper weather-resistive barrier, flash every window, door and penetration, and detail the trim so water is directed out and away — not trapped against the sheathing. On homes with existing rot or termite damage, we repair the substrate before anything new goes up.
Pairs naturally with paint and windows
Because we are a full exterior contractor, siding is often part of a larger curb-appeal project — new siding, fresh paint, replacement windows and new fascia, done together so the whole face of the house upgrades at once and the mobilization cost is shared.
